Bitcoin Hyper has announced the availability of its testnet RPC and a phased opening of its ecosystem. The sequence begins with the network and continues with an explorer, wallet, faucet, bridge and staking dashboard.

The press release also introduces an essential clarification: the HYPER assets currently distributed on the Ethereum and Solana mainnets are exclusively test tokens, declared worthless by the team. They do not represent the future official token.

To understand this update it is necessary to distinguish what is announced as available, what is scheduled and what must be verified through technical tests.

The first step: network and RPC

The endpoint communicated by the team is https://rpc.testnet.bitcoinhyper.io.

RPC means Remote Procedure Call: it is an interface through which applications and wallets can communicate with a blockchain node. Depending on the supported methods, it allows you to request information on the network, read balances and transmit transactions.

For developers it is a connection point to the testnet; for users this communication will normally be managed by the wallet.

An RPC enables concrete checks of network behaviour. Its presence alone, however, does not demonstrate the security of the entire architecture, its decentralisation or the correct functioning of its connections with Bitcoin.

What is the testnet for

A testnet is a network intended for experimentation. It allows you to test applications, transactions and ecosystem tools, identifying problems before use in production.

The results obtained in this environment help evaluate the development of the project. However, they must be interpreted in the context of the tests carried out: the functioning of one component does not automatically certify that of all the others.

Bitcoin Hyper proposes a phased opening, giving the community the opportunity to test each tool as it becomes accessible.

The six planned stages

The announcement sets out the following sequence:

WeekComponentFunction
InitialNetwork and RPCConnect applications and tools to the testnet.
2ExplorerConsult blockchain activity.
3WalletManage accounts, balances and operations.
4FaucetObtain test assets for testing.
5BridgeTest transfers to and from Ethereum, Solana and Bitcoin.
6Staking DashboardAccess the interface for the planned staking functions.

The explorer is the tool with which to consult blocks, transactions and addresses, according to the information made available. It will be useful to observe network activity through an accessible interface.

The wallet will allow users to interact with the testnet and view their balances. The press release refers to the future Bitcoin Hyper Wallet for the display of native HYPER.

The faucet will distribute test assets for use in testing. These assets are intended for experimentation and should not be confused with tokens intended for trading.

The bridge should allow you to try transfers to and from Ethereum, Solana and Bitcoin. To evaluate it, it will be necessary to know the supported assets, the operating conditions and the verification mechanisms adopted.

The staking dashboard will provide an interface for the relevant functions. Its inclusion in the schedule does not establish returns, economic terms or how the future production service will operate.

These are stages announced by the team: each release requires confirmation of actual availability.

Using 8 October 2026 as the reference, six weeks later is 19 November 2026. This is an illustrative calculation of the programme’s duration, rather than a guaranteed deadline or a TGE date. The programme’s sixth week also does not necessarily coincide with the day on which six full weeks end.

HYPER is native to the testnet

According to the press release, HYPER is the native asset used to pay network fees, commonly called gas.

On the testnet, HYPER has no separate contract: balances are managed directly by the network and will be displayed through the wallet when it becomes available.

The distinction is useful because a native asset and a token distributed on another blockchain are identified and managed in different ways. The name HYPER alone is not enough to establish which asset you are looking at.

Deployments on Ethereum and Solana are test tokens

The team explicitly identifies these two addresses:

Ethereum mainnet
0x7A7751637B7704Aa5233707aDE50C25460bc6718

Solana mainnet
HYPERgYAaKEGBzdpQfG8mrAYpWkASrPBSExUxgcrAPJK

In the press release, both are described as deployments intended solely for testing and ecosystem preparation, and should be considered worthless.

They do not represent the future official HYPER token after the TGE. Their presence on a mainnet does not change the test function declared by the project.

TGE stands for Token Generation Event, the event at which a token is generated. The team states that the definitive launch will take place separately after the TGE and that the official token addresses will be announced through its channels. The announcement does not provide a date for this event.

How to evaluate upcoming updates

The program offers a concrete sequence to follow. With each release it will be possible to compare the team's statements with the actual experience: consult transactions, use the wallet, obtain test assets and verify the transfers supported by the bridge.

Assessment should rest on available documentation and reproducible tests. Even a successful RPC check would have a limited scope: it would confirm the responses observed at that moment, without certifying the entire project.

View the testnet status → in this site’s Testnet Observatory: it displays available RPC readings and network data, with observation times and the limitations stated on the page. The observatory’s technical readings and the team’s statements remain two distinct categories of information; these data do not certify the security of the entire project.
